On the 12th August 2011 we will host our fifth annual Waitara Production Sale. This year we have forty high quality bulls and 60 commercial females by industry leading sires from dams that have had to perform in an environment that tests their performance. We believe it is essential to place extra pressure on our herd to ensure the animals we produce are able to do the job in even the toughest environment.

The sires of this years bull offering include names like Sitz New Design 458N whose sons have topped numerous bull sales around the country and continues to impress here at Waitara, Mohnen Dynamite who is quickly making a name for himself siring length, growth and style, and Te Mania Infinity who is the go-to sire for carcase and softness.

The bulls represent what we are striving for- cattle that offer a lot of flexibility with market suitability, they are correct, thick, and generally provide calving ease with plenty of growth.

The bulls, except for a small number of show animals, have been grass reared. All have been fully vaccinated, semen tested and are guaranteed. A number of bulls were used as yearlings and will have calves on the ground by sale day, a further test of our bulls’ ability to work and still express their potential.
